Jitu Virwani is the Chairman of Embassy Group, where he has managed and led the organisation since 1993. Under his leadership, Embassy has expanded to encompass well over 75 million square feet of commercial, residential, hospitality, services, retail, and education spaces across key Indian and international markets, including Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, the NCR, Thiruvananthapuram, and Serbia, among others. With a commitment to high standards of quality, world-class services, environmental responsibility, and safety, Embassy has established itself as a leading integrated real estate platform in India.

Jitu played a pivotal role in launching India’s first publicly listed and Asia’s largest Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) and has overseen the expansion of Embassy’s residential portfolio of 21 million square feet of ready residential developments, offering a diverse range of living options such as branded residences, uber-luxury villas, exclusive villaments, sky condominiums, integrated communities, senior living, and contemporary homes.

In 2017, Jitu introduced WeWork to India, which has since become one of the country’s leading flexible workspace providers, with 100,000+ desks across 60+ locations in eight cities. In 2024, he was appointed as the Non-Executive Chairman of WeWork India.

In October 2025, WeWork India Management Ltd., the flexible workspace business majority-owned and promoted by Embassy Group, successfully launched its initial public offering (IPO) on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). The ₹3,000-crore IPO was subscribed multiple times and marked a significant milestone in the company’s growth trajectory and public market debut.

In February 2025, Jitu was appointed Chairman of the Board of Embassy Developments Ltd., one of India’s largest listed real estate developers. 

He is also a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Aditya Virwani

Managing Director

Aditya Virwani is the Managing Director of Embassy Group and Embassy Developments Ltd., and serves on the board of Embassy Office Parks REIT. Formerly the Group’s Chief Operating Officer, he has been instrumental in steering Embassy’s evolution from a privately held real estate developer into an institutional-grade platform with a diverse portfolio spanning commercial, residential, hospitality, and other asset classes.

Mentored closely by his father and Group Chairman Jitu Virwani, Aditya spent his formative years building deep operational experience across the business. He played a key role in the successful launch of India’s first listed REIT, marking a historic milestone in the country’s real estate sector.

Today, Aditya is focused on shaping Embassy’s next phase of growth — strengthening core businesses, unlocking new markets, and driving innovation across the platform. Passionate about social impact, he is deeply involved in Embassy’s CSR initiatives, particularly in education and sustainability, with a long-term commitment to empowering underprivileged communities through access to quality education.

Karan Virwani

CEO - WeWork India

Embassy Group

Karan Virwani, CEO, WeWork India, is a young and dynamic entrepreneur, who has paved the way for opening the Indian market to WeWork, a New York-based collaborative workspace giant. Under Karan’s aegis, WeWork has experienced tremendous success and the brand has grown to be the leading provider of collaborative workspaces in the country.

Karan has always been passionate about contributing to the startup community and with that vision, WeWork’s spaces are present in India’s 34 prime locations, where freelancers, growing businesses, and enterprises alike have found a space that encourages them to connect, exchange ideas and foster creativity. As a leader, he has transformed WeWork into one of the fastest growing and most disruptive startups in India.

Mr. Sartaj Sewa Singh

Mr. Sartaj Sewa Singh holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi, and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. Mr. Sartaj Sewa Singh is a professional manager with over 35 years of experience in leading multinationals. After an initial 17 years with the British MNC, ICI India Limited he has held CEO positions in large multinationals like Cargill, Monsanto and FMC Corporation – where he was the founder employee & Managing Director of FMC India Private Limited since April 2000 and worked till April, 2015. Mr. Singh joined Embassy Group, Bangalore as President – Hospitality Business in July 2015,

Tanya John

Non-Executive Director

MBA from St. Joseph’s College of Business Admin, India and an MSc in Supply Chain Management from Heriot Watt University, Scotland, UK. An internationalist with a diverse background in marketing and supply chain management. Tanya John, a strategic marketing consultant, has been a consultant with various corporations including companies in hospitality technology, marketing and more. She was a founding Board Member of Tsunami Relief Inc., a charitable corporation created to provide emergency support for the victims of the 2005 tsunamis that devastated parts of Asia. Tsunami Relief Inc has raised over $14 million, for which Tanya was commended by the State of Virginia.

A.T.Gopinath

Gopinath Ambadi Thody, is a finance professional with close to three decades of experience in the real estate industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Mysore University, C.A. (Inter) from the ICAI, and has also gone through several management and finance programs in leading business universities such as UTI Institute of Capital Markets, IFMR, Haas School of Business, Berkeley University of California to name a few. Gopinath started working with Embassy Group as a consultant and consequently joined their founding team in 1995. From then on, he’s been an integral part of the company, spearheading and formulating the Finance, IT, Regulatory and Legal framework for the organization.
